Vantage Updated Thu, 2026 October 8 07:20

Accenture (ACN) stock closed at $212.30 on 1 October 2026, up 15.8% on record big-ticket bookings, though fiscal 2027 guidance implies organic growth of just 0.50% to 3.50%. The Accenture share price today, as of 14:12 (GMT+8) on 2 October 2026, was $212.75, still smiling.

Key Takeaways

  • Accenture plc (NYSE: ACN) closed 15.8% higher on 1 October 2026 after fiscal fourth-quarter results.[4][5]
  • Bookings reached $22.2B for the quarter, and 141 client bookings above $100M in fiscal 2026 was a record.[1][2][8]
  • Hourly chart: day high 227.63, then 212.75 at 14:12 (GMT+8) on 2 October 2026.

$28.93 a share. That is what Accenture stock added on 1 October 2026, a 15.8% jump to $212.30 at the 16:00 (ET) close, a lot of change for a firm that advises on change. [4][5] The odd part: Accenture guided fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency, and about 2.5 points of that is bought, not built. [2][3] So what did the market pay for? Spoiler: probably not the growth. Every price and level below is as of 14:12 (GMT+8) on 2 October 2026, the TradingView chart stamp, so no time travel involved.

A forecast that leans on shopping, a stock 15.8% higher and a gap that skipped the queue. Why it matters for share Contracts for Difference (CFD) traders: a gap like this lands before a Stop Loss can act. This ACN stock analysis covers stock ACN, stock price ACN and the ACN stock ticker by reading what was guided and what the chart printed. It is not an ACN stock prediction, ACN stock price forecast or Accenture stock forecast.

Accenture News: Record Big-Ticket Bookings After June’s Guidance Cut

Accenture plc stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the stock symbol ACN. Fourth-quarter revenue of $18.7B beat the guided range of $17.75B to $18.40B. Diluted earnings per share were $3.29 against a consensus near $3.18, and the operating margin was 15.3%.[1][2][8] Bookings rose 4% in US dollars to $22.2B.[2][4] Management called pricing stable overall, though lower in many areas, and said hiring would stay below this year’s pace.[3]

Rewind to June: on 18 June 2026 the company trimmed its fiscal 2026 outlook and the shares fell 17.97% to $127.98.[6] A beat explains a rally. It does not obviously explain a 15.8% close. The market, it seems, graded on a curve.

Guidance Math: Organic Growth of Roughly 0.50% to 3.50%

Think of acquisitions as a tow rope and organic growth as the engine. At the low end of the range, the tow rope does most of the pulling. Take out about 2.5 points from roughly $5B of deals and the 3% to 6% range leaves organic growth of roughly 0.50% to 3.50%. That is this piece’s arithmetic, not a company figure.[2][3]

The rest of the outlook was steadier. Earnings per share guidance of $14.39 to $14.81 is 6% to 9% above fiscal 2026’s $13.56, with an operating margin of 15.9% to 16.1% and free cash flow of $11.0B to $11.8B.[2][3] Management also flagged the Middle East, about $1B of annualised revenue, as a headwind.[3] That mix is why the organic range matters more than the headline.

By 30 September ACN had climbed back to $183.37, up about 43% from the 18 June close, so part of the recovery came before the results.[5][6] The move appears to reflect how much downside the market still priced out, like a patient leaving intensive care: not fit, just no longer critical. The discharge papers were generous.

A 3% to 6% outlook did not stop Accenture stock closing 15.8% higher.

Susquehanna stays cautious because systems integration and application development make up nearly half of revenue. William Blair’s Maggie Nolan downgraded to Market Perform in June, citing no meaningful artificial intelligence (AI) revenue acceleration. JPMorgan is more constructive on Accenture’s approach of acquiring capabilities early and scaling them.[8] Three firms, three moods, and no consensus in sight. The chart shows how the market handled it.

The Hourly ACN Stock Chart: A Spike to 227.63, a Fade Toward 212

Figure 1: ACN 1h “Accenture plc hourly chart: spike to a day high near 227.6, then a fade toward 212” (TradingView, https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/NYSE-ACN/) Accessed on 2 October 2026. Data indicative, for informational purposes only.

ACN opened on 1 October at 215.98, hit a day high of 227.63, then stepped lower and closed at 212.30, a polite retreat.[5] The Accenture stock price was $212.75 as of 14:12 (GMT+8) on 2 October 2026, after the latest hourly candle slipped 1.66%. About a third of the move from the prior close to the day high had been handed back by the close.[5]

At the same cut-off, the two moving-average readings in the chart legend were 185.98 and 184.42, about 27 to 28 points under the latest print. The legend does not say which period each belongs to, so no crossover is drawn. The close also cleared the September high close of 195.00 on 14 September.[5] RSI and volume panels were fashionably late, still loading, so no momentum claim is made. Next, the calendar, which at least announces its surprises in advance.

What to Watch: Payrolls, India’s IT Results, 13 October

Times are GMT+8, and the payrolls release will not wait for your coffee. For wider Accenture stock news, see earnings news today and stock market news today; NYSE news tracks the exchange.

  • US jobs report, 2 October 2026: NFP news is due at 20:30, after this cut-off.[9]
  • TCS board meeting, 8 October 2026: an Asia IT cross-check after June’s 5.8% intraday Nifty IT drop.[7][10]
  • Dividend record date, 13 October 2026: $1.71 per share, payable 13 November.[2]
  • Fiscal Q1 2027 results, date unconfirmed: guided revenue is $18.95B to $19.60B, and the calendar is keeping the date a surprise.[2][3]

The read weakens if bookings slip back toward June’s $19.3B.[6] Back to the opening gap, which never apologised: the market appears to have paid for a removed downside more than for faster growth. Chart basics: technical analysis.

ACN moved 15.8% between closes.[5] A Stop Loss is a seatbelt, not a force field: it can help limit a loss to a planned size, but a gap can fill it at a worse price. Leverage magnifies gains and losses alike: a 15.8% adverse gap on exposure equal to 50% of equity is a 7.9% change in equity. Halve the exposure and the hit halves, so sizing, not direction, decided the damage. Arithmetic remains undefeated. Share CFDs can also carry dividend adjustments around the 13 October record date, so the contract specifications are worth checking. See the stock CFDs guide, US share CFDs and risk management.
