Hong Kong Share CFD Commission Example

1. If you buy 100 Tencent (700) CFD shares at 320 HKD/share, the commission is 320 HKD*100*0.25% = 80 HKD (which is converted to your account currency).

If the price goes up to 350 HKD/share and when you close the order (sell 100 Tencent back), the commission is 350 HKD*100*0.25% = 87.5 HKD (which is converted to your account currency).

Total commission is 167.5 HKD, profit before commission charged is (350-320)*100 = 3,000 HKD and the profit after commission charged is 3,000-167.5 = 2,832.5 HKD (which is converted to your account currency).

2. If you sell 1000 Bank of China (3988) CFD shares at 3 HKD/share, the calculated commission is 3 HKD*1000*0.25% = 7.5 HKD. Since the minimum commission is 50 HKD, the commission charged is 50 HKD (which is converted to your account currency).

If the price goes down to 2 HKD/share and when you close the order (buy 1000 Bank of China back), the calculated commission is 2 HKD*1000*0.25% = 5 HKD. Since the minimum commission is 50 HKD, the commission charged is 50 HKD (which is converted to your account currency).

Total commission is 100 HKD, profit before commission charged is (3-2)*1000 = 1000 HKD and the profit after commission charged is 1000-100 = 900 HKD (which is converted to your account currency).
